
Students from the ICAS College have received their A Level results and there are a number of success stories.
Yasaman Murshid, 18 from Willesden, was delighted to receive her A Level results as she got better than she was predicted. Yasaman converted her efforts at AS Level to achieve 3 A* in Maths, Human Biology and Persian, plus an A in Chemistry.
Payam Nahavandi, 18 from Kilburn, studied A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics for which he achieved 3 A’s and an A* in Persian. Payam wants to go on and study Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London.
Amar Abidali, 19, from Northolt in Middlesex, studied Maths, Chemistry and Physics at the College of North West London and wants to go and study Chemical engineering at UCL.
Amar is one of three siblings who have taken A Levels at the Icas College and gone on to study at University. His brother Ali went on to study Aeronautical Engineering, and his sister went on to study Optometry at City University last year.
Zara Al-Musawi, 18 from Willesden, got straight A’s in her A Levels in Biology, Maths and Physics and wants to go onto study Optometry at City University.
Zara wishes to study Optometry, which is the profession that treats people with eye sight problems such as Glaucoma as members of her family have suffered from the disease which can make you blind.
Zara said: “Through the generations members of my family have suffered from this terrible disease and so I wanted my studies to help me be able to train so I can help other sufferers overcome it.”
Mohammed Kuba got 2 A’s and B in Maths, Economics, and Religious Education, and has secured a place at City University to study Accountancy and Finance.
